VOB is a DVD-Video container based on the MPEG program stream format. It may hold MPEG-2 video, AC-3 or MPEG audio, subtitles, navigation information, and multiple streams. MP4 is a modern container widely supported by browsers, phones, smart TVs, editors, and streaming platforms.
